Water alone only removes the coarsest dirt. It is also necessary to remove microorganisms and limescale deposits. For this, a simple solution of water and vinegar in a 1:1 ratio will be useful. You can also use special products for cleaning washing machines, available in shops. After preparing the product, scrub the filter thoroughly, for example with an old toothbrush. Then rinse with clean water; it is not necessary to dry it. Also check the condition of the hole where the filter is located, as it may also need to be cleaned. The last step is to screw the filter back in and close the cover.
Why is it necessary to clean the washing machine filter regularly?
