No matter how careful you are in the kitchen, food often splatters and even the steam from cooking gradually dirties the walls and tiles. Over time, the dirt becomes ingrained, while a sticky layer begins to cover the entire surface. It may seem a little complicated to clean this part of the kitchen, but there is a homemade cleaning remedy that leaves tiles looking like new with almost no effort.
1. Kitchen tiles: the great forgotten
Despite being one of the areas where the most dirt can accumulate, it is often one of the least cleaned, as most people assume that it does not require as much care as other areas. The longer you go without cleaning the tiles, the more dirt they accumulate, both from food and grease that sticks to them almost without us noticing, which makes them sticky and causes them to lose their shine. Therefore, it is recommended to clean the tiles at least once a week. If you know the right technique, in 5 minutes they can be perfect, and week after week, you will only need to maintain them.

2. It’s less complicated than it seems
Because it is a large surface that covers all the walls, many people may think that cleaning it is complicated and laborious, but this is not the case. With the right products and knowing the correct method, in 5 minutes a week they will always be clean and disinfected.
To do this, we will need:
- A spray bottle.
- A mop and a cloth.
- Cleaning alcohol.
- Beltrán soap.
- Water.
3. How to use the tile cleaning remedy

In a spray bottle, mix 200 millilitres of water, 200 millilitres of cleaning alcohol and a tablespoon of Beltrán soap. This formula will last for months, so you only need to prepare it once and store it in the spray bottle. When you want to use the formula, shake the spray bottle (so that the products mix well) and spray onto a mop or cloth. One trick is to attach the cloth to the mop so that you can reach the highest areas quickly and effortlessly. Then, simply wipe the cloth or mop over the entire surface and allow it to air dry, as this formula does not require rinsing, cleans and restores shine instantly.
4. It is essential to maintain daily cleaning
Although with a mop and homemade formula we can clean all the walls in a few minutes, it is best to clean daily, so that whenever we prepare greasy recipes or feel that the walls may have become stained, we should wipe them with a cloth or piece of absorbent paper to prevent dirt from accumulating.
